EC Stack with 8mg ephedrine per tab, standard dosage

Following our recommendation of a safe dosage for EC stacks based on ephedrine 8 mg tabs, here is now the standard dosage for healthy people who are used to take ephedrine.

Please note that these daily dosages are again based on 8 milligrams of ephedrine per tab: you may know already that our preferred ephedrine is Kaizen Ephedrine HCL, as explained in a previous post, and 8 mg ephedrine is the most sold in Canada due to legal aspects. Always prefer pure ephedrine HCL to “proprietary blends” in order to avoid binders and fillers. People ask our opinion about asthma medicines such as Bronkaid (ephedrine sulfate): if you can get pure ephedrine HCL purchased legally from recommended sites, why would you go for asthma medicines containing guaifenesin? Let’s make it clear: this dosage is meant for pure ephedrine HCL 8 mg only. Taking an EC stack is a serious thing, you should not consider it if you start compromising on the quality of its core product, ephedrine.

Regarding caffeine, we also selected the most sold product: 200 mg per tab. Thus in the following tables, “16 / 200″ in “Ephedrine/Caffeine” columns will represent 2 tabs of ephedrine 8 mg and 1 tab of caffeine 200 mg.

What are the main differences between this standard dosage and the safe one?

  •  The maximum serving (morning and noon) goes up to 24 mg of ephedrine – we prefer to keep it at 16 mg for the mid afternoon serving because it usually affects sleep, not even speaking of people who have their training session quite late.
  • This standard dosage is stabilized at week 3 but has 8 weeks in a row, compared to the safe dosage which stops after 6 weeks, followed by a break of 2 weeks at least.

By the way, a point that comes often through email: people notice that the effects of EC stacks seem to decrease after some time (energy boost and appetite). No worry, it’s totally fine, this is just a physiological adjustment, the metabolic effects of ephedrine remain the same in terms of fat burn. There are two important points here:

  • First point, do not eat more when the appetite reduction produced by ephedrine has disappeared.
  • Second point, it is essential to stop at least 2 weeks at the end of your EC stack period so that you give your body a break from all that caffeine and from the the thermogenic effects of ephedrine. Your body will step back progressively to its basal metabolism, while keeping the benefits of your fat burn.

Lesson learned: here is the same table of day per day dosage but in tabs this time: “2 / 1″ is of course 2 tabs of ephedrine 8 mg and  1 tab of caffeine 200 mg. You can see from the column “total per day” that the maximum dosage of ephedrine per day is 64 mg, which is commonly accepted.

This tells you also how many tabs you will need for your 8 weeks EC stack:
- ephedrine 8 mg: 121 tabs for the first 3 weeks, then 56 tabs per week (8 tabs per day x 7) from week 4 to 8, thus in total 401 tabs.
- caffeine 200 mg: 155 tabs.
